So, who is The Trusted Nerd?

I have been around computers most of my life. I began using and programming computers while in junior high school. My adult life led me into the Marine Corps and I worked in the field of air traffic control radar systems. I learned complex electronics and computer systems, and troubleshooting and repair skills. After the Marine Corps, I obtained a Bachelor of Computer Science degree focusing in programming and graduated Summa Cum Laude. I have been working as an IT professional for the last 10 years.

I started my business in 2010 when I saw a need. So many people would ask if I knew of anyone that they could trust to help fix their computer. They were tired of people coming in who talked a big game, but really didn’t know what they were doing or treated them poorly because they didn’t understand computers.

One question I often receive is, "Why should I trust The Trusted Nerd?"

The answer is simple. I provide honest computer consulting, repair, and advice at a fair price. I will never try and upsell you for something you don't need. I always do the work that is necessary and nothing more. I do not talk down to someone just because they might not know their bytes from a CPU.

Many of you drive some form of automobile. Just because you drive one does not mean you fully understand the principles of internal combustion engines. The same is true with computers. So many people use them, but don't understand exactly how one works. That is completely fine. You are a user of technology and it helps you, entertains you, connects you to others, and sometimes frustrates you. If you need help with your car you find a trustworthy mechanic. If you need help with your computer you seek out an expert. I would like to be that expert. I would like to be The Trusted Nerd you go to for help.
